A: PACE = Parent Action Committee for Education. The PACE group is much like a PTO for schools. PACE is responsible for many of the Special Events and programs that CABPES host, conduct, or get involved with for greater awareness. Most recently, about 20 students and parents attended the Salvation Army to create the gift baskets that are handed out on Thanksgiving.
Q: Which day is my JETS class? A: JETS Classes are held once a week, Tuesday JETS classes include Aerospace, Architecture, Civil, Construction Management, Intro to Programming and Web Design classes run from 6pm to 8pm. Wednesday classes include Lego Robitics and Computer Aided Design (CAD)/ProE, and SAT College Preparation Classes classes run from 6pm to 8pm.
Q: Which day is Math Enrichment Program?
A:The Math Enrichment Program (MEP) is conducted every Monday and Wednesday. The tutoring sessions take place from 6pm to 8pm and are broken into a basic math skills intervention sessions with the intent to review major components that lead up to the higher levels of math. Those components are as follows: Whole Numbers, Decimals, Number Theory & Fractions, Operations with Fractions, Measurements, Ratio, Percents, & Proportions, Geometry, Pre-Algebra & Algebra. A student must demonstrate the ability to automate the skill of using the four operations to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, decimals, and fractions, as well as multiplication facts from 0 to 9 on a multiplication table in less than 5 minutes.
